The Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation Scholarship is open to underGraduate Studentss enrolled full-time. In accordance with guidelines prescribed by the founder, the grantee institutions award scholarships based on need to Christian Women's who reside in one of the specified southern states. Students must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Virginia.

Becoming a Greenhouse Scholar is the first action in a series of positive events that will create change in you, your community, and the world. Eligible students must be a graduating high school senior planning to attend a four-year accredited academic institution. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and a legal resident of California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, New York, or North Carolina. Applicants must demonstrate financial need (annual household income no greater than $80,000), and possess excellent leadership skills, an ability to persevere through difficult circumstances, and a strong interest in and commitment to your community. The eligibility survey will open on September 1, 2024 and close on November 14, 2024. Students must report their unweighted GPA, household income, and geographic location to confirm eligibility, and submit one short answer response. The academic information and submission of essay responses will start on September 15, 2024 and end on December 1, 2024. Applicants must submit a transcript, ACT/SAT test scores (optional), two letters of recommendation, and four written essay responses. Then, starting January 10, 2025 to January 26, 2025, semi-finalists have two weeks to create and submit a five-minute video response and submit proof of income documents. Finalist registration for interviews open on March 10, 2025. Finalists will be invited to submit updated transcripts, ACT/SAT test scores (optional), a headshot, college acceptance status, other scholarship awards statuses, and to schedule an interview. The North Carolina Sheriffs' Association (NCSA) created the Criminal Justice Scholarship Program to assist students who are dependents of law enforcement officials or who are studying in the criminal justice field and express an interest in pursuing a career in law enforcement. Applicants must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours in a degree granting criminal justice program at one of the institutions of The University of North Carolina or the North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities. Applicants must express an interest in pursuing a career in law enforcement and must be recommended by their local sheriff. One nominee for the scholarship is chosen each year by the financial aid office at each eligible college or university. Applications must be approved and signed by the financial aid official at the college or university. The Financial Aid Official will mail the chosen application(s) to either NCSEAA or NCICU. The Jagannathan Scholarship is for students enrolled or enrolling in an undergraduate degree program at Appalachian State University which is one of the constituent institutions of The University of North Carolina. Students must be nominated by the financial aid office of the school they plan to attend. Students must have demonstrated academic achievement (as indicated by class rank, cumulative GPA, and SAT scores), leadership, and financial need. Recipients will be selected by their universities. The Whitehead Scholars Program is a regional scholarship designed especially for Women's. Scholarship requirements focus on a holistic "head, heart, and hands" education model, fostering well-rounded individuals through the integration of work, service, and reflection. The Carolina Farm Credit Scholarship supports underGraduate Studentss who are in the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (CAES) at North Carolina A&T State University. The scholarship will be funded through an annual contribution by Carolina Farm Credit. CAES will invoice Carolina Farm Credit for $2,000 pre-scholarship up to $8,000. All contributions shall be used to fund annual scholarships for students. Recipients of this award are selected based on their academic achievement and merit. Recipients must be enrolled in a minimum of 15 hours per semester and maintain a GPA of 3.0 in any curriculum within CAES, except for all the pre-professional programs. The AgCarolina Farm Credit Scholarship Program seeks to enhance the quality of life and future opportunities for Eastern North Carolina rural residents and their communities by awarding scholarships to students who are pursuing a degree within the agriculture industry. The North Carolina Community College Grant Program will be awarded to students who demonstrate financial need and are enrolled at North Carolina community colleges. Students must enroll for at least six credit hours per semester in a curriculum program and meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements of the institution. Eligibility is based on a calculation of need, using data from the FAFSA. Students with EFCs of 8,500 or less are eligible. The FAFSA opens on October 1. This scholarship has been established to honor Col. Kathleen Swacina, USA (Ret.), and her accomplishments throughout her career and her affiliation with AFCEA. The Colonel Kathleen Swacina Scholarship will recognize one outstanding college student who has shown the potential to excel in college studies in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Applicants must be a member of the U.S. armed forces or enrolled in a ROTC program; an honorably discharged Veterans of the U.S. armed forces; or a direct descendant of an AFCEA member or an honorably discharged member of the armed forces. Applicants must be enrolled at an accredited institution in or residing in the states of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida and Alabama, including community colleges. Community College Student in their first two years are eligible if they will continue on to an accredited four-year college or university. Two letters of recommendation, at least one of which must be from a professor in the student's STEM major field of study, must be submitted.
