The New York Veteranss Tuition Awards will be awarded to Vietnam, Persian Gulf, Afghanistan, or other eligible combat Veteranss pursuing an undergraduate, graduate degree or vocational training program. The scholarship is available to students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree or in an approved vocational training program in New York State. The scholarship will be awarded for 2 years to students pursuing their associate degree full-time and 4 years for part-time; 4 years to students pursuing their bachelor's degree full-time and 8 years for part-time; 5 years for students in five-year degree programs and 10 years for part-time; 3 years of graduate study for full-time students and 6 years for part-time students; and up to 2 years in an approved vocational training program for full-time students and 4 years for part-time students. The Dean's Scholarship is open to new, first-time students who have shown outstanding academic ability in high school and are New York residents. This scholarship is applied to non-tuition-related expenses up to the total cost of attendance. Priority is given to students who apply for admission by January 15, 2025.

The $2,500 UAlbany Scholarship is available to new transfer applicants seeking to enter during the fall 2024 semester. Transfer students must have 24 or more transferrable credits and a cumulative GPA between 3.5 and 4.0 from their previous college or university. The scholarship is allocated to pay for fees, room and board expenses, books, and other personal expenses. This award is determined at the time of acceptance, is for non-tuition expenses, and will be combined with any state or federal aid for which students might qualify. GPA requirements are based on those at the time of acceptance and based on cumulative performance at all colleges and universities attended.

The $4,000 UAlbany Scholarship is available to first-year students who have demonstrated commendable academic performance, reflected by their academic achievement and performance. This is a non-tuition award, meaning it is allocated to pay for fees, room and board expenses, books, and other personal expenses. It cannot exceed the student's cost of attendance.

Becoming a Greenhouse Scholar is the first action in a series of positive events that will create change in you, your community, and the world. Eligible students must be a graduating high school senior planning to attend a four-year accredited academic institution. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and a legal resident of California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, New York, or North Carolina. Applicants must demonstrate financial need (annual household income no greater than $80,000), and possess excellent leadership skills, an ability to persevere through difficult circumstances, and a strong interest in and commitment to your community. The eligibility survey will open on September 1, 2024 and close on November 14, 2024. Students must report their unweighted GPA, household income, and geographic location to confirm eligibility, and submit one short answer response. The academic information and submission of essay responses will start on September 15, 2024 and end on December 1, 2024. Applicants must submit a transcript, ACT/SAT test scores (optional), two letters of recommendation, and four written essay responses. Then, starting January 10, 2025 to January 26, 2025, semi-finalists have two weeks to create and submit a five-minute video response and submit proof of income documents. Finalist registration for interviews open on March 10, 2025. Finalists will be invited to submit updated transcripts, ACT/SAT test scores (optional), a headshot, college acceptance status, other scholarship awards statuses, and to schedule an interview. The NYS Scholarships for Academic Excellence will be awarded to students achieving academic excellence while in high school. Scholarships are provided to high-achieving students at registered New York State high schools. Awards are based on student grades on certain Regent's exams. Students are nominated by high schools. Students must talk to their high school counselor for more information on how they can receive this award and the deadlines to apply. The scholarship may be awarded to students for 2 years for pursuing their associate degree full-time; 4 years for pursuing their bachelor's degree full-time; and 5 years for approved five-year degree programs. Students must be a legal resident of New York State and have resided in New York State for 12 continuous months. Students must attend a public or private NYS college in the fall term following their high-school graduation and be matriculated in an approved program of study. The program is aimed at enrolling high potential students who demonstrate financial need, with an intentional focus on students who demonstrate resilience and have overcome adversity.
